This Amsterdam hotel is situated in the renowned Jordaan district, famous for fascinating, unique shops, cafes and bars.

The narrow streets and canals are an enthralling environment to explore, containing a plethora of independent and innovative galleries, restaurants, and small shops overflowing with character. A few streets west of the city centre, the Jordaan is a different world from the stampeding tourists and chain stores of Kalverstraat, and is a well-preserved example of a traditional Dutch neighbourhood. A

five minute walk from the hotel, Westerkerk has arguably the best views over the city from the top of its tower, though this can be compared with the annotated panorama on the roof of NEMO, the science museum a tram ride away in the north-east of the city centre. Central Station is a short tram ride from Westermarkt, close to the hotel, and from here trains to Schiphol are frequent and convenient.
