Last night the Prinsengracht once again became Amsterdam’s most beautiful concert hall, right on our doorstep.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Leif Ove Andsnes took to the floating stage, joined by cellist Sol Gabetta and mezzo-soprano Maria Warenberg for a magical evening of music on the water.

As boats gathered along the canal, glasses were raised, windows were opened and melodies drifted through the city. From the opening performances by young talents Hawijch Elders and Shane van Neerden to the inspiring musicians of the Kinderprinsengrachtconcert earlier that day, it was a day of celebration, music, community and everything that makes Amsterdam so special.

One of those wonderfully Amsterdam moments we’ll never get tired of.

Since its very first edition unfolding right outside our canal houses, the has been woven into the story of Pulitzer Amsterdam.

What began for us as an intimate concert on the canal has evolved into one of Amsterdam’s most cherished traditions, drawing guests, neighbors, and music lovers along the waterfront to watch from their canal houses and boats, or tune in from home as classical music drifts across the city.

Tonight, for the 44th time, the stage floats at our doorstep as internationally acclaimed Norwegian pianist performs on the Prinsengracht alongside two exceptional musical companions: Argentinian-Swiss cellist and Dutch mezzo-soprano . As the final preparations unfold, we look forward to another unforgettable evening of music on the water.

Yesterday, in celebration of Pride, we marked the opening of Velvet Scars: A Kingdom of Courage, the latest exhibition by Dutch photographer and visual artist .

Set within the walls of Pulitzer Amsterdam, the exhibition invites visitors into a world where fashion, history, and symbolism intertwine. Working across photography, collage, and film, Jasper draws inspiration from forgotten stories, historical figures, and the quiet beauty found in nature.

During a special conversation hosted by , Jasper shared the inspiration behind the works on display. Through contemporary portraiture, fashion, and Dutch couture, Velvet Scars explores themes of identity, freedom, visibility, love, and self-expression. Rooted in lesser-known stories from q***r history, the exhibition reflects on the past while opening a dialogue with the present.
