Hotel Gansoord Hotel Gansoord The hotel is situated at the Nes, this is one of Amsterdam’s oldest streets. By the way the first buildings were build in 1392!

The Nes is since 1850 the place to be when you like culture, theatres and a big variety of bars and restaurants in downtown city centre of Amsterdam. The Gansoord hotel wants to create a environment where actors, culture minded people and people who love to stay in a comfortable and creative hotel get together. Doors will be opening in December 2011.

Anybody out there wonder where the name Gansoord comes from? I'll tell you! It's actually quite simple; the street where the hotel is being built (NES), was called Gansoord back in the old day. This name was used for the outskirts of a city. Have a lovely weekend!
