[Project No.79 Villa Endymion] A building conceived as a total work of art, where every detail was deliberate. This model approaches it the same way.

A national monument in Bloemendaal, Villa Endymion was designed by H.Th. Wijdeveld in 1909. Its white plastered facade combines classical elements in abstracted form, including Doric columns, symmetrical window arrangements, and oval dormers beneath a slate mansard roof.

The model captures the layered character of the facade in precise detail. Column, cornice, window reveal, and roof profile are each clearly legible. Interior lighting brings the building to life, casting a warm glow through the windows that gives the model its inhabited quality.

[Project No.245 The City] Representing a warm brick facade with consistency and precision is a distinct craft. It is what this model is built around.

"The City" in Tilburg is a student housing complex of 531 units, composed of a U-shaped block and a tower in the campus area, nominated for the Tilburg Architectuurprijs 2026.

The model is built around this precision. A warm, consistently toned surface treatment conveys the masonry character, while the larger window openings remain clearly readable within the repetitive grid. Block and tower together communicate the scale of the ensemble without losing the detail that defines each facade.

[Project No.249 Smartwoning] Glass and a steep gable. At 1:25, this scale model translates a house defined by its almost entirely transparent facade into a legible, hand-held form.

Smartwoning is a development of 24 all-electric homes in De Kwakel, Uithoorn, compact and affordable dwellings for starters and small households.

Transparent acrylic renders the glazed facade honestly, while the dark roof and white frame articulate each unit with precision. The models are assembled with removable components. Lifting the section reveals the floor plan, placing the interior logic directly into the hands of the viewer.

[Project No. 230 Haarlemmermeer Town Hall]Our scale model captures the potential of a civic building to serve as a living, breathing environment.

The design was envisioned as a fully circular, energy-neutral timber structure. Moving away from the conventional, rigid office building, the design focuses on an open, accessible form that invites the landscape inward.

The model highlights this vision through the building’s distinct, layered silhouette. By emphasizing the expansive horizontal green terraces and the transparent, light-filled floors, the model illustrates how the architecture harmonizes with its surroundings.

[Project No. 228 Diepeveen] A scale model that once presented a vision for transformation, now a reality in Rotterdam West.

Diepeveen is a national monument with an iconic brick tower, once home to the firm Diepeveen & Co. The historic complex has been restored while five new residential blocks of varying heights and brickwork have been added around it, forming a cohesive ensemble that connects the surrounding neighborhoods into a new living and working community.

Our model highlights this transformation through a deliberate contrast in material. The new residential blocks are expressed in rich, warm brick tones. At the same time, the historic Diepeveen monument is kept in a neutral white, making the dialogue between old and new immediately readable at a glance. With the project now fully realized, it is rewarding to see the vision our model once presented become part of Rotterdam's cityscape.

[Project No. 315 Woodstock (Heemtuinen blok C )] When presenting timber architecture, a scale model must do more than display the physical form, it must capture the warmth, texture, and sustainable core of the design itself.

Located in the green neighborhood of Heemtuinen in Vlaardingen, "Woodstock" is a newly developed residential building. It features a sustainable timber construction designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding lush landscape and communal gardens.

Our model translates this eco-friendly identity through materials. We carefully constructed the distinct timber grid facade and brick base, surrounding them with richly textured greenery to convey the site's inviting atmosphere. Additionally, a detailed cut-away section in the roof reveals the interior layout and scaled furniture, helping future residents intuitively visualize life inside their new homes.

[Project No. 318 Buiksloterham 1:1000] As a city transforms over decades, its physical representation must also adapt to capture the bigger picture.

The Buiksloterham area in northern Amsterdam is undergoing a major, long-term redevelopment extending to 2040. The city is carefully guiding this transition, shaping distinct programs and architectural visions plot by plot.

Following our previous 1:500 models from 2019 and 2023, we have now delivered a brand-new 1:1000 scale version. Using subtle grey shades, the model clearly distinguishes between existing, recently built, and future structures.

Designed primarily as a working model, it allows the team to study specific area developments and easily review the overall progress of the project so far.

[Project No. 226 Buikslotermeerplein] Complex urban transformations require clarity, where long-term spatial visions can be intuitively understood at a single glance.

The city of Amsterdam is redeveloping the Buikslotermeerplein area into a vibrant, multifaceted urban center. This ambitious transition aims to enrich the district by integrating expanded spaces for living, working, greenery, shopping, and entertainment.

We designed this model as a tool to support the long-term masterplan. Installed at the local development information center, we have updated the model multiple times to reflect new plan proposals.

By providing a clear and tangible overview, it actively helps the municipality and local residents discuss the future of their neighborhood together.

[Project No.262 Hofplaats (tentative)] Capturing the journey from a bright public square down into a spacious underground meeting area requires a model that literally opens up to tell the full story.

Designed by de Architekten Cie. with a welcoming green landscape by Karres en Brands, this new public entrance for the Dutch House of Representatives brings light and openness to the complex. A transparent glass pavilion with a curved green roof smoothly guides visitors from the street level down into the new subterranean spaces.

To clearly show this transition, we built the model to split perfectly in half. Above ground, we highlighted the contrast between the uniform historic surroundings and the delicate, transparent new entrance. When opened, the cross-section reveals the interior organization, showing exactly how the new public spaces connect beneath the surface.
