Max Brown Canal District
Max Brown Canal District is set at the intersection of Amsterdam’s most iconic canals and made up of three historical canal houses. Walk inside and you’ll find a completely modernized interior, art by local artist Gino Bud Hoiting and the much-admired—and Instagrammed—book wall. You’ll always have the Max Brown essentials—great coffee, complimentary breakfast, WiFi and the most comfortable bed around. If you ever just want to unwind, grab a new read from the book swap library, have a drink from the honesty fridge, play a board game or lounge in our peaceful inner garden terrace.
Our Rooms
Max Brown Canal District’s guest rooms are all individually designed to reflect the laidback, relaxed vibe of the neighbourhood, with patchwork quilts, soft furnishing, restored wood and leather details. There are steep stairs in the hotel and there is no elevator, however we also have small rooms on the ground floor available by request. All five room types, ranging from extra-large to tiny (for the solo traveller), are equipped with a TV, phone, WiFi, safe, and fan, plus either a bath or shower with a full range of Desea spa products. Each room has its very own masterpiece: The Max Brown bed, our pride and joy that’s responsible for more than a few late checkouts.
