The Table 🍜

On Friday's from 18.30 - 20.00 PM we have our Shelter's Table evenings. This is a time to have dinner together, share stories and hear about the history of our neighbourhood.

This is a space for genuine connection and new friendships. A digital detox. A place where you can relax and enjoy the little things in life. Delicious food, an inspiring conversation or simply enjoying each others presence.

A meaningful weekend 💛

Last weekend we welcomed students from Driestar Leiden. They went around the city, visiting all different kinds of places and discovering Amsterdam together.

After their adventures everyone came back together here — sharing meals, stories, songs and reflections in our garden 🌿

These are exactly the moments Shelter was created for.

(And yes, the youngest visitor in pink definitely stole the show 💗)

Come hang out in our garden 🌱

The days are finally getting longer and we can enjoy the warmer nights in spring.

The garden is a favorite if you want to slow down and read a book, or hang around and play some games with your new friends.

Our bar is open from Thursday until Saturday. We invite you to grab a drink and meet one another in this relaxing hang out spot! ✨

Our first student group at Shelter 🎉

We had the joy of welcoming our very first group of theology students from the Christian University of Ede.

They joined us for Shelter’s Table, stayed the night, and shared in inspiring conversations about hospitality, community, and what it means to create a place where people feel truly welcome.

So special to see new connections being made around the table — exactly what Shelter is all about.

Welcoming travelers from all over the world, shared meals, and new friendships are so special to us.

A place for peace and reflection 📖

The chapel is a place very dear to us. It's a place where we take time to pray, sing and read the Bible together.

In the middle of the busy city, our chapel is a quiet place to slow down, breathe, and reflect.
Whether you want to sit in silence, read a bit or write down a prayer, everyone is welcome here.

Every day at 12:00 PM, we gather for a Daily Bible Prayer moment. This moment connects us on a deeper level, which is very special to us.

This is the heart of our Shelter.
