Over the next month, we'll continue welcoming travellers, like you, from around the world into the Shelter community.

As a hostel with a social mission, we believe hospitality can be a force for good. Every stay helps support the work we do beyond the hostel walls.

Throughout spring, summer, and autumn, we welcome travellers. In winter, the same building supports programmes that help people move towards stable housing and a fresh start.

Different seasons, the same purpose: creating a place where people are welcomed with care, dignity, and hope. 🌿

A meal with purpose 💛🍽️

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming around 35 Muskathletes to Shelter's Table. 🌿

Over the past year, these Muskathletes have committed themselves to standing against the injustice of human trafficking and forced prostitution. Each participant raised money to support the work of Scharlaken Koord. This is one of the ministries of Tot Heil des Volks, which helps people who want to leave prostitution behind and build a new future.

What made this evening so special was not only the impact they have made, but also the opportunity to come together. To share stories, reflect on what they had seen and learned, and connect with others who have been deeply moved by this cause.

Moments like these remind us that The Table is about more than food. It's about community, meaningful conversations, and bringing people together around a shared purpose. 💛

It's nice to do your research before you come to the city. But some of the best travel moments happen when you step off the planned route.
