We’re back with an exciting update! It’s a bit later than anticipated, but this time it’s really happening: the second round of V-talks, in collaboration with Lowfood, at The Lobby Fizeaustraat on September 24th. 🗣️💭⁠

This time, we’re sitting down with Samuel Levie — a man with a huge passion for sausages. Making them wasn’t enough for him, so he embarked on a writing journey that led to his next book release. Whether he’s crafting new sausage combinations at Brandt & Levie, brainstorming fresh ideas for Food Cabinet and the Slow Food Youth Network, or writing a book, it’s clear that Samuel doesn’t like to sit still.⁠

We’ll be diving into his latest release, “Worstelingen”, where he questions his role as a sausage maker in today’s meat consumption landscape. If you’re curious about contributing more sustainably as a meat lover, Samuel will be sharing some valuable tips!⁠

Countdown has officially started! We're making our final preparations for Fête du Fizz this Sunday at The Lobby Fizeaustraat with our champagne buddies, L’Atelier du Champagne. Let’s go over the details one last time. 🌇🥂🍾🚍️⁠

We’re wrapping up the "summer" season with another champagne banger (let’s be honest, we most definitely need it after this year’s "so-called" summer in Holland). Drop by with friends, family, or your date ;) We’ve got the “ambiance” covered with live music.⁠

Koen & Koen (apparently it’s a popular name among us Dutchies) will ensure our menu is stocked with plenty of champagne options, and our chef has crafted the necessary bites to complement them.⁠

We’re back with the second edition of our V-talks series in collaboration with Lowfood on June 26th at The Lobby Fizeaustraat. This evening, we’ll be sitting down with Samuel Levie, also known as the local sausage guy. 🌭👨🏻‍🍳🍴🎨⁠

Samuel Levie is a man of many talents. He makes sausages at Brandt & Levie, showcases his creative side as a co-founder of Food Cabinet and Slow Food Youth Network, writes columns for Het Parool, works as a chef, and even finds time to author books.⁠

Speaking of books, we’ll delve into his latest release, “Worstelingen.” This raw and personal exploration of the “meat consumption” landscape sees Samuel questioning his role as a sausage maker while offering tips for how meat enthusiasts can contribute to making our consumption processes more sustainable.⁠

Wondering what to eat beforehand and still make it on time? Not to worry! Our chef has crafted a 2-course V-talks menu featuring sea bass crudo (thinly sliced) as a starter and a vegetarian main course with zucchini flower, paired with a glass of wine, for 46,50,-. Dinner is available from 18:00.⁠

Our personal favorite might be the fish of the season (skate). 🐟️ 🧡⁠

Why, you might ask? We can appreciate its rich flavor and the fact that you can play around with different flavor palettes to complement it. The vadouvan beurre blanc adds a smokey, slightly spicy essence to this dish. The carrots balance it out with a light touch of sweetness. ⁠

We love a dish filled with seasonal veggies, definitely a must for the vegetarians amongst us or those who crave a light dinner on warmer days such as these. 🥕🥬🌞⁠

Add a touch of spring to your table with asparagus and peas dipped in our asparagus-flavored sauce, combined with a zesty lemon mousseline, and finished with a crispy version of parmesan cheese.⁠

We recommend pairing it with a glass of white wine to complement the refined, earthy flavor of asparagus. And while you’re at it, you might as well bathe in the sun on our terrace to get that summer glow. ⁠
