In the Center of Amsterdam but just off the beaten path, the Tante Piet provides everything you want for a relaxing but different city break. Welcome! Tante Piet

It is relaxed, cosy and authentic. You will share the kitchen and shower with the lady owner, she is super relaxed! Of course you will receive a key and you can come and go as you like, early morning or deep at night. The double bed is super comfortable, in the guest room is also a washing basin and a separate toilet. The second double bed is located in the living room. The garden is there to enjoy breakfast, a drink or even a campfire. After a day strolling through the busy center, 15 minutes by foot, it is wonderful to come home and relax in the garden. Specially because the sun is there from morning to evening. A secret joke is to greet all passersby as if you live on the ship for years:-)

In wintertime you can enjoy the wood burning stove, snuggled up on the couch. My main goal is to make sure you have a fantastic time, and I will be very pleased to help or guide you in any way I can. Your booking includes:

Public transport is just around the corner. Breakfast Possibilities:
If you like me to provide breakfast, please let me know. For an additional fee of € 7.50 p.p.p.d. all the supplies will be placed in the refrigerator or I bake you myself nice Dutch-style eggs. For all of your cat lovers, meet Boebie, she is very affectionate. She is an out-door cat, (read big hunter), there is no litter box on board. Bur she is the real captain on board. Local Area:
A lovely walk away you will be in the famous Jordaan area. Full of unique vintage shops, cafe's and neighborhood (vintage) markets. Your stay on this houseboat gives you the best experience! Live among Amsterdam residence in a village like city street but yet you are quickly in the busy bubbling hart of the city center.

The wheelhouse is the eye catcher of a ship and needs to look gooooood. So our wheelhouse needed desperately massive maintenance. So together with our neighbor friend we removed all the old varnish and repair where necessary and start repainting. For the first time we used Coelan. A bit of a thick varnish and super UV resistant. The trick though is that you apply it in 8 coats. But then you never have to strip it bare but sand it every two years and varnish it one time. The result turned out nice. Didn’t it?!?
