From the 6th until the 16th of September the Amsterdam Fringe Festival turns the city into one big stage!
So many amazing productions including live art, comedy, theatre and dance and it's no problem if you don't speak Dutch as there are lots of international productions!

08 - 09 // Amsterdam Heritage Days (Open Monuments Day)
Explore Amsterdam's rich history when important buildings, monuments and private homes open their doors to the public! Entrance is free of charge!

09 // Amsterdam City Swim
Cheer on the participants as they swim through the city center to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease (known as ALS in the Netherlands), the whole route is 2km!

22 - 23 // Dam tot Damloop
One (if not thé) of Amsterdam's biggest running events! The main event is the 16,1km run from Amsterdam to the heart of Zaandam! Lots of other runs/walks in Zaandam this weekend too!

The ten-day classical music festival is one of the city's cultural highlights. The Prinsengracht Concert on Saturday the 18th is a must-see and it's for free!

10 - 12 // Vegan Food Festival
Head on over to the Westergasfabriek for this all vegan festival!

17 - 26 // World Cinema Amsterdam
At various locations throughout the city you can watch some of the best independent films from Africa, Asia, Latin-American and the Caribbean. This year the festival focuses on Cuban film. For the screenings at Rialto and De Balie you can purchase tickets, for screenings in the open air entrance is for free!
