This information sheet tries to provide comprehensive information for all your questions. ( I appreciate any feedback). We advertise both on www.flipkey.com and www.homeaway.com
Please note our consistent 5 star rating from our previous guests. We are very proud of that and will endeavour to make your stay also a sterling experience.
Clean bedding (linens) and towels are included in the rental fee. For each stay there is a charge of 60 Euro for cleaning services, payable on exit. No additional charges or taxes.
House Information:
The property is equipped with fast (wireless) internet, a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave combi oven, bath, shower, washing machine, tumble dryer, air conditioning in
the two top floor bedrooms and cable TV and a DVD player with a USB slot.
The stairs are quite steep. Very elderly people or toddlers might not appreciate these.
The lounge ( with a sofa bed) is on the first floor. A room with a small double bed is also on this floor.
The kitchen, bathroom, toilet and patio are on the second floor.
The master bedroom is on the third floor facing the canal.
A bed room with two single beds are also on the third floor.
There is a second toilet with a small basin on the third floor.
The house on the outside looks like this: We are above the Candy shop.
During your stay:
Towels and linens are provided
You can turn the heating up or down by using arrows up / down at the console on the first floor. Please don’t waste energy.
The washing machine and the dryer can be used. Please replace the products you use.
The top two bedrooms have black-out blinds and air conditioning.
The closest super market is 2 minutes away: exit the house on to the left. Make a right over the canal bridge into "Choorstraat" away from the church. Walk 100 meters. Then you will find the supermarket on the right, called Albert Heijn. (You will see lots of bikes parked) Take your house key with you. It has a discount barcode tab.
You can rent bikes at the Delft Train station with ID and a 50 Euro deposit.
For all information on other activities (cycle routes, tourist attractions etc) – there is a tourist information office 2 minutes away.
We only have refuse collection on a single day per week in Delft. If you are in the property on a Wednesday, please ensure all of the rubbish that is stored on the balcony is put on the street, between 7am and 8am. They're pretty strict about the time and it is
difficult to dispose of refuse if you miss that slot.
There are two big underground parking garages near the house. (Google Markt garage and Phoenix garage Delft for rates and directions)
We live close by so if you need anything you can easily get in touch with us. We like to make your stay a 5 star experience.
Arrival
You can enter the house anytime after 4pm on the day of your arrival. Email or call us with your arrival details so we can welcome you in the house. The wireless password is “Delft015” The network is called Hippo15.
Leaving
Please leave the premises in the same state as you found it – plus the 60 Euro for cleaning
Close all windows and turn the heating off. (set continuous temperature at 12 degrees)
Please leave by 11.00 noon (unless you make a different prior arrangement)
When you leave, put the keys back in the letterbox after you have verified that you have all your belongings. We saved a few passport on the kitchen table situations this way :-)

Getting there:
The train station is an 8 minutes walk from the house. The train takes 45 minutes from Schiphol airport. Taxi's can be booked via Google: "Taxi Schiphol Delft"
The tram to The Hague is 20 minutes and the beach is 40 minutes: tram number 1 to both. The tram stop is a 4 minutes walk
from the house (Prinsenhof is the closest), located on Phoenixstraat. A low cost taxi ride to and from the airport (75 Euro) can be pre-booked via
The train from Schiphol to Delft leaves from Schiphol Train station at platform 4/5. Usually there is a change over in Leiden to the train on the opposite platform. Sometimes the change over is at Holland Spoor. A single adult ticket costs about 15 euro.
Or google taxi schiphol to arrange ride. Avoid airport taxi's and taxi touts.
We do not take a security deposit but prefer an honesty system. We hope that you will treat the place with the respect it deserves and discuss any breakages or damages with us.
NB: We do not usually issue invoices. If you need one for Visa or taxes please ask. Please also ensure that the total amounts due are not reduced as a result of bank charges.
A few days before your stay, please let me know exactly what time you plan to arrive so that we can make arrangements to meet at the house by calling us. Please also transfer the remaining balance the week before arrival (or if you prefer cash, let me know).
