Following a successful herd classification at Vernooij (Hedra Holsteins), the herd’s strong conformation level received another boost last week. Three cows were reclassified by the herdbook classifiers and all received an Excellent score. This brings the total number of Excellent cows from the Hedra herd to an impressive 18.

A promising new generation from the WEH Georgina family has emerged with Bacchus HiPo S Gonda WR. The young heifer calf is a daughter of Harpet Sem out of WSH Goldmarie, who was purchased by Bacchus Holsteins and HiPo Genetics at the Masterrind Exclusive Sale in 2024. Since her purchase, Goldmarie has already produced several interesting offspring from different matings.

One of the regular participants at the Dairy Fair by Night, where exhibitors compete for the title of Barones van Mariënwaerdt, is Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins. With their barn favourites specially prepared for this atmospheric evening show, the team returned home in the middle of the night with several titles in their pockets. The greatest successes came from second-calver Willem's-Hoeve Redpower Rita 2 (Power).

During this classification, no fewer than four 2-yr-olds scored 87 points. Remarkably, the four young cows originate from different branches of the influential Golden-Oaks Mark Prudence family!

With her striking conformation and pitch-black appearance, HWH Ecaterina VG-85 immediately catches your eye. Born in 2023, the Comeback daughter was bred by HWH Holsteins and traces back through her dam, HWH Elina P RDC, to Caudumer Spark Ernestine P Red VG-86. Ernestine was purchased by HWH Holsteins as a young, red and polled Spark Red daughter at the 2020SonderKollektion sale. With 159 gRZG at the time, she was one of the notable animals offered at the sale.
