WELCOME to Hostel ROOM Rotterdam. Europe's first theme hostel right in the center of Rotterdam! 💛 Opening a backpackers hostel in their own beloved Rotterdam.

After years of travelling and dreaming Mirjam Verschoor and Monique Segeren started their ultimate dream in 2005. In 2006 the ideal property was found: a historical building near the river Maas and Erasmus bridge. The renovation of the building has been done pretty much on their own. A contractor did the work on the historical outside of the building. On the inside the two young women did most of

the work themselves with the help of family and friends. For the thematic design of the rooms, they worked with students of the Artemis Interior and Styling Academy. Ever since the opening in June 2006 hostel ROOM has been a home away from home for many international travellers. Being travellers ourselves we know its important to stay in a friendly, clean, safe and fun hostel with all the facilities you need at any time you like. All this is being highly appreciated by our guests and they rewarded us with:

- Best staff award (Hostelbookers September 2009)
- Best cleanliness (Hostelbookers January 2010)
- Best coffee Award (July 2007 & July 2010)

Staff

ROOM wouldn't be ROOM without its amazing, outstanding staff. A mix between young Rotterdam locals and travellers who have been sticking around and never want to leave. We all have one thing in common: we all love Rotterdam and love to travel. We are ready for you 24/7 to answer all your questions and give you all the good insider travellers' tips. We’re incredibly grateful to have hosted the EFH Meeting Days at our hostel in Rotterdam and to welcome so many wonderful EFH members from all over Europe ❤️

Such a blast to share time in our city with you and showing some of our favourite Dutch highlights, from exploring the vibrant streets of Rotterdam to biking to Kinderdijk and hopping on the iconic watertaxi. 🚤🇳🇱
