Farmhouse De Hoeve B&B
Bob Koster (Dutch) and Wendy Hammick (British) met eachother in Thailand whilst backpacking around Asia and moved to Tonden 18 years ago. Tonden is situated between Zutphen, Voorst, Eerbeek and Brummen and is on the edge of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. The Kosters have totally renovated the house to a high standard. Many reclamation yards were visited where a fireplac
e, sanitary and floors to name a few things were found . The interior walls are made from cob (sand, clay and straw) which gives the house a warm and authentic atmosphere. Since the children have flown the nest, Bob and Wendy decided to change de voorhuis ( front of the house) into this sizeable cosy b&b which sleeps 4 people. The beautifully decorated B&B has its own front door which enters into the kitchen. Outside there are various parts of an English country garden which are for your use. Outside the kitchen door there is a patio where of course you can have your cups of tea and coffee, meals and wine (weather allowing). Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms, the main bedroom and the other room which has 2 single beds, ideal for children or intimate friends. This room has a double function as it can also be used as a sittingroom. If, with four people, there is an extra bathroom available. Farmhouse De Hoeve is very spacious inside and out and although this is a bed and breakfast accomodation it does not mean that you have to evacuate the house every day, you are welcome to just chill out the whole day reading books or whatever. Farmhouse De Hoeve B&B is surrounded by countryside, it is quiet and relaxed and a lovely place just to enjoy. There are 2 bikes for your use. There is free access to WIFI.
