Every estate holds its stories and few are as unexpected as this one.

In 2014 the Rolling Stones stayed with us for three days at Château St. Gerlach. During their time here they were moved by the life of Gerlachus, the twelfth-century knight turned hermit whose name our estate still carries. So moved, in fact, that they helped fund a reconstruction of his face.

On the 1st of November, the Château Concerts series returns to the St. Gerlach Pavilion, with pianist Kasper Schonewille and harpist Oxana Thijssen, joined by guest pianist David Voncken. A afternoon built around Beethoven and his pupil Ferdinand Ries, including the Fifth Symphony in a rare arrangement for two grand pianos.

This upcoming spring, we are opening the estate for a three-day wellness retreat, created in partnership with About Life Retreats.

Three days to step away, slow down and reconnect with body and mind. The programme consists of meditative walks through the vegetable garden, yoga and breathwork, farm-to-table dining at Les Salons, a floating sound healing session in the St. Gerlach Wellness & Spa, and a closing reflection in the quiet of St. Gerlachus Church. A complete reset, in one of the most peaceful corners of South Limburg.
