After wanting one for such a long time, we finally have our campsite map! Now it’s even easier to find your way around and discover every little corner of our family-friendly campsite in the heart of Hallingdal. 🏕️🌲

A family campsite is about so much more than cabins and pitches—it’s about adventures, laughter, new friendships, and memories that last a lifetime.

We love being the setting for the little ones’ very first camping memories.

With safe spaces to run, flat trails to explore by bike, and the magic of sleeping surrounded by a forest straight out of a fairy tale, Hallingdal is the ultimate family destination.

🏕️ Encounters on the Road: Road Tripping Through Hallingdal

Some people only stay at the campsite for a few days, but they leave a special mark. That’s exactly the case with a lovely Dutch couple currently traveling through Norway, who decided to make a stop at our little corner in Hallingdal.

If you take a stroll through the pitches, you’ll definitely spot them enjoying the afternoon. While he always greets you with a warm smile, he sits focused at his small camping table, surrounded by fine feathers, silk threads, and tiny hooks.

They travel light, but his fly-tying bench never gets left behind. He takes advantage of the peace and quiet around our campsite to recreate, with millimeter precision, the local insects that trout are looking for in the Hallingdalselva river this time of year.

In a day or two they will continue their journey, but if you love fly fishing or simply want to swap travel stories with two wonderful people, don’t hesitate to say hello before they head out.

This is what campsite life is all about! 🎣🚐✨
