Happy October.
So, new heat pump / air condition unit installed today. Working good, and should keep the temperature more steady early and late season. Also reduce power consumption all in all.

2nd boat motor, well, i have started preservation. Motor completely filled with salt water so not looking good for the moment unfortunately.
But, i have hope.

Howdy ya all.
As I am myself back in the USA for work, i have not had the opportunity to meet you all. I have met a few though, which is great.
For myself, i am returning home this week, just as fall kicks in and season ends.
Some bad news and some good.

First of all, there is now only one boat available. Due to the self draining getting obstructed, the boat eventually sank with motor and all under water. It has been a period with heavy rain and all. I dont know when I will have it fixed, if it can be fixed. Or when i get a new motor if that is the way to go. Insurance is also on the case off course. We wll see.

Second, may be better news. I will get installed an air-to-air heatpump in the cabin insteqd of the one there now. This will improve the temperature control, and also itbwill be able to keep the cabin warmer during spring, fall and winter. Also, it will save a bit on energy cost, i hope.

UPDATE:
Well, got some great news from my web expert today.
The webpage with booking is now back up and working again.
The update to a newer joomla platform will have to wait for the moment, as there was a template that was not compatible. But, all is restored and fixed, ready for bookings.
There is still quite good availability for the rest of this year and also next year.

As I am not entirely sure that all bookings already made have survived the roll back, I would appreciate it if all of you that have already booked, could send me a message with name and the period you have booked.

Hello all.
Hope all is well, and all is good.
Just reaching out to all of you to inform about the Nesheim webpage.
After updating to the latest Joomla version, which is the platform I am using.
Something happened, and it appears the page crashed and is unavailable.
I am trying to find someone capable of fixing this issue as I am not capable myself.
If some of you want to make a booking, please wait until the page is up and working again, or send me a mail or whatsapp or you may also use booking. com as you please.
As always, I would prefer that everyone uses my own webpage as it makes bookeeping a lot easier.

Will let you know as soon as the page is back up and running.

Hello all.
Hope you are doing great in these special times. I am myself still in the USA, working, but have had some time off in the beatiful city of New orleans as my Client prefferred that I did not go home due to the ongoing pandemic and rapidly changing of rules for travel.
It is what it is I guess, and as I have been checking the various rules myself as well, they are hard to find and generally confusing, and they vary from country to country.

So, I have tried to put together a page on the website for the Norwegian rules for travel, as I have received a few questions from you lovely guests and travellers, about what the latest rules are.

Hello all, and hope you all are safe and healthy in these special times 😁
For myself, I have been in the USA on work offshore since mid April, and were able to get my 1. Covid-19 vaccine dose over here.
I see that cabin bookings are slowly picking up, and as there is some new rules from Norway today, I have linked directly to them underneath. Then it will be easy for you all to find it, and see what is the latest. And offcourse I am looking forward to have all of you back for a visit.

As you probably know, Norway are still imposing quite strict rules for travelling and visiting the country. To update you all, here is the latest as it is pr today.
Hopefully it will normalize slightly during late summer and autumn. And I am optimistic that for next season we will be back to "normal". Hope all of you are healthy and ok, and hope to see you shortly.

Hello,
Well there is special times for the moment, and Norway has also now basically "closed" the borders as many other countries also have done.

The latest for entry into Norway is in short as follows:
Travel to Norway
Date: 12/03/2021
In order to limit the risk of infections imported from abroad, the government further tightened non-Norwegian citizens’ entitlement to enter Norway.

Only those non-Norwegian citizens who are residents of Norway are permitted to enter the country. This also applies to citizens of the EEA.

For all of you who wants to re-book your stay, please let me know and I will facilitate as best I can off-course. Some of you have already changed reservation to next year.

Latest Covid-19 update from Norway, with some new areas turning red, and some yellow.
Autumn is slowly approaching, with colder, crisp weather,but it is also the season for fishing, mushrooms, fruits and berries 😁
Plenty availability for the cabin, but it is special times.
Though, next years bookings are available 😉

Hope everyone is healthy and safe. From Norway there is another Change in travel advice.

Greece, Ireland, United Kingdom and Austria will change from yellow to red on Saturday 22 August at 00.00 a.m. The same applies to the Capital region in Denmark.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is introducing new exceptions to the travel advice against non-essential travel to all countries. The new exceptions apply to individual countries in the Schengen area/EEA from 15 July.
