Han mistet sitt når han prøvde å redde andre ❤️- en av Havets Helter.

Våre tanker går til familien, de nærmeste, kollegaer og Redningsselskapet ❤️

I dag mistet vi en av våre egne❤️

– Det verste som kunne skje, har skjedd. Vi har mistet en av våre redningsmenn, da han gjorde det viktigste man kan gjøre som mannskap på en redningsskøyte: Å prøve å redde et annet liv. I sorgen vi står i, er det viktig å huske på at redningsaksjonen fortsatt pågår. Våre tanker går i første rekke til de pårørende, til mannskapet som deltok i redningsaksjonen og til alle kolleger som i dag er dypt berørt. I dagene som kommer handler det om å ta vare på hverandre, sier generalsekretær Grete Herlofson.

Northern lights season is officialy back with these amazing shows we’ve been having this past week, right at our doorstep. ✨

The Aurora starts to be seen in late August, when the night is dark enough, and the season goes until early April, as the sun starts to rise too close to the horizon again, outshining it with its light. 🌅

So let’s enjoy one more beautiful season! 🌌

The view from Nonstinden 🏔️, the mountain in our backyard, towards Nusfjord, Reine, and Å at the tip of the Lofoten Islands 🌊

The trail starts a 10 minutes walk from our cabins and hiking to the peak takes 2 to 3 hours, but there are plenty of spots to stop and admire the view on the way up.

If you’re feeling adventurous, the hike sure can be rewarding. ✨

Be sure to wear your spikes during winter and snowy conditions, and enjoy! 🥾
