As the summer season comes to a close, please note that we are open this week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Our final day of the summer season will be Saturday, August 29th.

Thank you so much for visiting us this summer, sharing great moments, and making it so memorable!

We won't be away for long – we look forward to welcoming you back in October for our lutefisk evenings and traditional julebord (Christmas celebrations).

A true taste of Northern Norway. 🇳🇴 Skreimølje: the seasonal feast of Arctic cod, roe, and liver. Tradition on a plate! 🌊🐟 It might not be the most "glamorous" dish, but it’s definitely the most delicious! 🍽️ Skreimølje is the ultimate winter reward in the North.Symbolism and Seasonality 🌊

A Gift from the Arctic: This tradition is deeply connected to the cycles of nature. The Skrei migrates from the Barents Sea to the Lofoten archipelago only between January and April.
The Sign of Spring: For Northern Norwegians, the first meal of skreimølje is a symbolic milestone—a sign that the harsh winter is slowly retreating and the sea is "giving life" once again.
Survival and Heritage: Historically, this was the most critical time of year for fishermen. A successful season meant survival and prosperity for the entire year ahead. ❄️

Something new is blooming in Ballstad! 🌊🎨
Kraemmervika Havn is heading in a bold new direction. We are opening soon our professional art studio: Nord Atelier a space born from a passion for creativity and a deep love for the Lofoten Islands. 🏔️✨
The studio is run by a professional artist painter, a Bachelor of Arts graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Poland).
Our mission is to put Ballstad on the map as a leading hub for artists ! STAY TUNED 👌
