Kilsti Lodge Kilsti Compact Lodge is a small and luxurios nature getaway placed in Fjord kommune in beautiful Sunnmøre.

Our cabins from Nature Compact Living have all the amenities of a small apartment and will give an experience of being at one with nature. It used to be a decripit farm with a big plot of land (partly located in the Unesco World Heritage area called West Norwegian Fjords) and with a fantastic location in the mountainside. The views and nature around is spectacular, and there is a lot of cultural history in the area.

The best part isn’t rushing into the sauna. It’s slowing down afterwards—wrapped in a robe, listening to the fire, watching the light fade over the fjord.

Long Nordic summer evenings. The kind that make you forget what time it is.

Good company, a glass of bubbles, the warmth of a crackling fire, and nothing on the agenda except staying a little longer.

Some places invite you to slow down.

Golden hour fades, the lanterns come alive, and the mountains fall silent.

Wrapped in Hästens bathrobes, carrying timeless Louis Poulsen lights—because the smallest details are part of the experience.

Welcome to evenings at Kilsti.

Trollstigen opens Monday at 12:00 — and the season begins again.

Winding roads, deep valleys, waterfalls and views that stay with you long after you’ve left. This is one of Norway’s most iconic drives, and it’s finally ready to be explored again.

Kilsti Lodge is perfectly placed along the journey, right between Geiranger and Trollstigen — making it a natural stop to slow down, stay a little longer, and experience the landscape beyond the road.

Take your time. This is what the journey is all about
