Een prachtig groene rustige camping aan de rivier de Otra. 60 kampeerplekken (zelf kiezen hoe/waar je gaat staan) en 13 hutten.

Meest natuurlijk gelegen camping op korte afstand van Kristiansand (ferry < 1 uur), ideaal om vakantie te starten/eindigen.

Wow! I just saw a Moose at the camping!!🫎😍
For the first time! We have seen footprints here before, and there are plenty in the neighborhood, but I was never eye-in-eye with a moose itself on the camping field. Jaxson saw her first and barked, but did not run after her luckily.
Pity that it went sooo fast...
But ✅️ from the wishlist 🤩

While earlier this week we still had the coldest night of this winter (-22°C) now there is a change of weather and we get temperatures around 0°C and maybe a little + the coming week.
So let me share some more winter pictures with you ❄️☃️😍.
Winter came late this year, only since January we had snow, but in a short time the river was completely frozen. Several tracks of deer and other animals crossing the ice. The hottub is not available now as I cannot fill it with (river)water now. The sauna is very nice though, and you can cool down with making a snow angel in the snow ❄️
Friends visiting me and we had a lot of winter fun with snowshoewalking, langlauf and ice bathing.
I can hardly imagine the camping will be full with campers and tents again in a couple of months 😎

This week I finalized the search for new personnel for summer season 2026. The Kilefjorden Team 2026 is complete! I am looking forward to work with this team this summer. 🙂
I received an overwhelming amount of applications. Thanks all for your interest. I am hereby closing the application period for this year. 😅

Now it is still full winter season. Snow, river is fully frozen. It is quiet at the camping. We are busy working and making things better for our guests coming summer. 😃

En daar zijn wij het helemaal mee eens 😃💚. Sinds vorig jaar zijn wij, met trots(!), een Kampeermeneer camping! Kampeermeneer staat voor kamperen zoals kamperen bedoeld is, lekker buitenleven in de natuur, met je blote voeten in het gras en slapen onder tentdoek. Kleine sfeervolle campings met kampvuursfeer, een gevoel van vrijheid, en zonder rechttoe rechtaan plaatsen.

Last night we were happily surprised with Northern Light at Kilefjorden Camping! Not so very very often, but sometimes we are just lucky to see it here as well. It is special every time 💚

Winter has arrived ❄️☃️ it was -18°C this morning! Cold but beautiful! Still a few campers dare to camp in these conditions and enjoy the beautiful sunrise with mystic dancing damp over the water caused by the difference between water temp (1°C) and air temp (-18°C). After a cold day they warmed their bodies again in the hot sauna.

Torstein...many of our followers know him from the RIB and RAFT boat trips in the summer and as passionate fishing guide. But next to being my brother in law he is also carpenter. And he and John Atle did a great job the past weeks in giving a face-lift to cabin 3 and 7, raingutters on the toiletbuilding and a new wall on the kitchen building. Watch this video where he is showing you around about the latest upgrades on the camping. 🏡🛠🤩 And also a personal word for Anneleen 🥰.

Beautiful autumn at Kilefjorden Camping 🍂🍁🍃
I am so happy with my new bike this year! Very handy to carry stuff around and ride over the camping. Still enjoying the beautiful autumn colors and great weather (few more days before it will turn into rain). Recently the moose hunt started in this area, yet we were lucky to see one 🫎. And what's better than finalize the evening with a fire in the grillhytte 🔥.
The first night frost appeared so shut off the water on the camping. Slowly preparing for the winter...but still trying to get the most out of these beautiful autumn days 🍂😍.
