Local delicacies: This year we sell moose hamburgers and pølse! 🫎😋
Last autumn my neighbor Torstein hunted a moose and I bought half of the carcas. I asked Slakteren i Søgne to make hamburgers and pølse of it. This way I can offer my guests something to taste something special and which is not so common available in the shops.
The meat is sold frozen so you can prepare it yourself. You can also add hamburger bread or pølse bread baked by my neighbour Kristine from Enklere Bondeliv. You will really taste the difference with breads from the supermarket.

The moose head on the 2nd picture is from a moose, shot a few years ago by Torstein. He is now the mascot of the camping.

I am so happy with and proud of the Kilefjorden Team of 2026!! Everyone is unique in its own way, and together we are a strong team with respect, support, positiveness and fun for and with eachother. We are now complete and ready to give our guests an unforgettable stay.

We are happy that so many people are finding their way to Kilefjorden Camping again! Every year we are getting more and more people who like to spend their time at our place, and many of them extend their stay because they like it so much. We take that as a big compliment. 💚
Like last year we aim for good experiences and we don't want the camping to be too full. That is why we accept just a limited number of reservations per day, so that we keep enough space for guests who want to extend their stay or arrive spontanuously. So if you received a rejection for your reservation, you can still give it a try and come spontanuously and hope you will be lucky to get a spot. 😎
We had already 2 weeks great summer weather with 20-30°C. The water temp increased to 18°C. That makes it perfect for a trip on the water with one of our new canoes, kayaks or SUPs. 💦

In Norway the tradition is to celebrate Midsummernight, also known as Sankthansaften or Jonsok, on June 23. We at Kilefjorden Camping do things sometimes a bit different on our own way 🙃, this year we celebrate the longest day on June 21.

While on the big field there is a positive, relaxed and sunny atmosphere amongst the drivers of the Viking Sun rally, there is also a limited group of camping guests just enjoying the great weather at the field down at the water side.

Saturday Jun 20 2026 we welcome again the participants of the Viking Sun car rally that finish their 2500 km drive through Norway at Kilefjorden Camping. A great event with enthusiastic people that raise charity money with their participation in the rally. Celebration of the winning team, not p***e the fastest ones, but the team that got most points with the (fun) tasks along the way.
From 20-21 June we have limited space for other camping guests, and we are already fully booked that night for all cabins and camping places.
We welcome new camping guests again on Sunday Jun 21!

It is with mixed emotions that I share the last big project for this season. I am very proud of the beautiful new extra toiletroom! It is meant as extra capacity in the busy summer, for both men and women, and it has two toilets, one shower and two sinks. In the wintertime this will be the facilities for the few guests that are visiting us then.

Big thanks and gratefulness to Vegard for his help and support on this project. The dream sauna was our first project we established together, this beautiful toiletroom was our last project, as we ended as a couple. I still feel blown away by the cross that is put on our future together.
Many guests tell me they feel my camping has a soul, and they see it is driven with love. It is the biggest compliment I can get as I run this camping with my heart. That same heart now feels broken, I hope the love for the camping and of the guests and friends around me and my strong bond with Jaxson, will help to heal it.

‘Fiskeørn Hytte’ 🦅🏡 is the newly restyled cabin 3!
Inside the prominent osprey (fiskeørn) is giving a unique character to this cabin. The picture is made by campingguest Ger Lagendijk during one of our RIB sightseeing trips on the Otra river. These majestic birds can be seen right through the window and from the veranda of this cabin!
Fiskeørn Hytte became a comfort cabin for 2 persons with a comfortable double bed, armchairs and a bigger kitchen. On the outside it got a new roof and 2 great terraces to enjoy the outdoors. The veranda on the backside has great view over the river.
Thanks for the helping hands of Torstein and John Atle (outside) and Vegard, Marco, Conny, Ariejan, Carolien, Marianne and Ulrich on the inside.
And what an honor that the first guests for this restyled cabin were people on their honeymoon!

Proudly present renovated 'Nausta Hytte' (Hytte 7)😍🏡
The name 'Nausta Hytte' is inspired by the 11 boathouses (Nausta) in Sunndalsøra that dominate the new interior of the cabin. The picture (self made during holiday) gives the cabin a Norwegian atmosphere and is meant as travel inspiration for our guests that often start there round-trip through Norway at Kilefjorden Camping. The canvas above the dining table is also an own picture, made in Lærdal (Gamle Lærdalsøyri).
Last autumn the cabin already got a new roof and terrace (big thanks to Torstein Hodne and John Atle). Now this spring the renovation is completed with a refreshed interior (big thanks for help with painting to Nita and Janina).
