The beautiful Laaven Restaurant, looking down on the fjord, is open for dinner and lunch guests all year. Our wooden, traditional Sami hut Gabba cafe is open during winter, from 20.10 - 31.03. Snow Resort Kirkenes is North Norway`s biggest activity provider, and Kirkenes is the King crab capital of the world. Our original and legendary King Crab Safari runs all year, either by boat or snowmobile. During winter, there are a number of snowmobile and dogsledding tours you may do, as well as ice fishing, snowshoe tours and Snow yoga. The Snow Resort Visit & Dinner starts with a guided tour through the Snowhotel, where you’ll hear how the rooms are carved and what it takes to keep them standing all year. A welcome drink at the ice bar comes with it.

Then it’s a 3-course dinner at Låven, made from local Arctic ingredients, before an optional last drink back at the ice bar.

Torsdag hadde vi åpen dag her på Snow Resort Kirkenes, i strålende sommervær. 500 gjester fant veien til oss! ☀️

Vi vil rette en ekstra takk til alle lokale som kom. Det er godt å bli minnet på at dette også er deres nabolag.

Vi gleder oss allerede til neste åpne dag.

Gi en husky en trygg pensjonisttilværelse ❤️🐾
Vi har noen fantastiske huskyer, som Gran, Jade, Sapphire og Twardy som du ser her, som er klare for å finne sitt eget hjem hvor de kan nyte pensjonistlivet.
De ønsker seg et liv fylt med kos på sofaen, rolige turer, små eventyr og masse kjærlighet.
Har du vurdert å adoptere, eller er du bare nysgjerrig på hvordan det fungerer? Kom gjerne innom hundegården for en uforpliktende prat. Vi forteller gjerne om hundene våre og hjelper deg med å finne ut om adopsjon kan passe for deg.
Du kan besøke oss alle dager mellom 08:00 og 16:00. Vi kan også avtale prøveturer eller en prøveperiode hjemme, slik at både du og hunden får kjenne etter om det er en god match.

175 dogs. Every one of them has a name, a personality, and a musher who knows both by heart.

Some are born to run. Some just want to lean against your leg until you crouch down and say hello. Our team spends every day with them — feeding, training, and yes, some cuddling too — long before a single guest ever meets them.

When you visit the dog yard, you’re not just petting huskies. You’re meeting a family that’s been building trust with these dogs for years.

The King Crab Safari isn’t just a meal — it’s a 3-hour journey by RIB boat through the fjord.

On our way we go past WW2 battle sites that our guide will tell you the stories about.

You watch the guide bring the pots up firsthand, then the catch is prepared fresh at a rustic boathouse across the fjord, and served the Northern Norwegian way.

Runs May through November, departing from the king crab pier in Kirkenes 13:00 every day.

Warm gear included, so you’re set no matter the weather.

There’s something about walking into -4°C in a summer dress that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world entirely.

Outside, it’s July in the Arctic. The sun doesn’t set. The wildflowers are blooming. But just through that door, winter is still waiting — everything snow and ice, cold and still.
