Two incredible weeks of halibut fishing here at Risøyhamn Sjøhus 🎣

Big smiles, heavy fish, and memories that will last a lifetime. The conditions have lined up perfectly, and the results speak for themselves. Several solid halibut landed, with some absolute giants hitting the deck 💪

At the same time, cod fishing has been consistently excellent since the very start of the season. Plenty of action and great quality fish for our guests every single day.

We’ve received 2 brand new boats from Jomar As
Alumarine 760 Cabin powered by Yamaha 150 hp.

Comfortable seating and outdoor space for up to 5 people, perfect for both fishing and cruising.

The past week has been amazing:
calm seas, 12–16°C in April and excellent fishing conditions.
Plenty of large, clean cod at 40–80 meters, and earlier this week we also had great skrei fishing in Andfjorden.

April is simply one of the best months for fishing, clean, firm, high-quality fish.

We’ve also been busy on land:
new grills installed, benches painted, the area cleaned and prepared.
Construction of 2 new modern grill cabins with ocean views has also started.

At the same time, we have opened up direct booking.

You can now book your stay with us without going through third parties. Choose one of our packages or put together your own combination of house and boat. The system is simple, flexible, and gives you full control of your booking.

2025 has been absolutely incredible for us, and 2026 is already shaping up to be even busier. We truly appreciate every single guest who has stayed with us, whether you’ve been here many times before or visited for the very first time.
Over the last few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on a new booking system that will finally put us fully online, making it much easier for you to book houses, boats, and activities. It’s taken a bit longer than we hoped, but we’re now getting really close to going live.
