La "kota" è una tipica capanna in legno utilizzata come luogo conviviale dalle popolazioni lapponi. Un tempo fungeva da dimora temporanea per le popolazioni Sami che seguivano le mandrie di renne.

Beh, poter cenare al suo interno, sul fuoco, con un panorama del genere, a notte fonda illuminata dal sole di mezzanotte, sul fiordo di Porsanger, in , non è cosa da tutti i giorni!
