A private cruise from our own pier, deep into a UNESCO-listed fjord — golden hillsides, waterfalls in every direction, and the first dusting of fresh snow settling on the peaks above. No crowds, no ferries, no schedule but our own.

Cruising through these ancient glacial pathways should not be hurried. The Norwegian fjords are a study in quiet grandeur, and our captains, like Captain Per Ove, at the helm on this particular day — know every waterfall and every fjord farm perched high on its small plot of land, tucked into the mountainside.

Here in Norway we love being outdoors and in nature, and we would love to share "friluftsliv" with you while you stay with us. Forest bathing has many benefits, one of them being a lift in mood and focus.🌲

At Storfjord, trails start right on the hillside above the fjord. No shuttle, no drive, just a deep breath and a path into the trees. Wander through cool, quiet Nordic forest where birdsong replaces notifications and the only decision is which way the trail bends next.

This November 26th, join us in the restaurant for a special three-course Thanksgiving dinner. 🍁🍽

Here in Norway, we have our own version of this celebration, "høsttakkefest," when the harvest is safely brought in and Norwegian farmers give thanks for the food and crops nature has provided.

On the menu: corn soup with bacon to start, followed by turkey with stuffing, sweet potato purée, cranberry sauce, and root vegetables. For dessert, pumpkin pie with cream.

Today, Norway has lost our beloved King Harald.
For more than three decades, he served our country with warmth, wisdom and a deep belief in people and community. He was a King who brought people together and held a very special place in the hearts of many Norwegians.

Our thoughts are with Queen Sonja, the Royal Family and all of us who share our lives here in Norway.

Rest in peace, King Harald.

Our Boathouse by the fjord. Fire at the hearth. A table shared with fellow guests. What happens here is more than dinner. You’ll have to experience it to understand.

The seven course menu is crafted to honour the fjord landscapes and open sea. Situated bellow the hotel by the Glomset Bay and the fjord. There is a short car transfer from Storfjord to The Boathouse, approx 5 minutes. Transfer to and from the hotel is complementary.

Due to limited seats, reservations are highly recommended.
