Spring in Lofoten always keeps us guessing, but long days are here and summer is slowly starting to make itself felt around the island. Time for evening walks, sea dips and spending more hours outside again.

Late May is a beautiful and quieter time to visit Skrova. With the midnight sun returning, there’s more time to enjoy everything around you. Hike, kayak, bike or simply slow down and take in the beaches and mountains that make this place so special.

HOW TO REACH SKROVA AND OUR GUESTHOUSE! ⛴

Skrova is located just next to Svolvær, the largest city in Lofoten, making it easy to reach while still feeling like a peaceful island escape.

• Ferry from Svolvær: the island is easily accessible with several daily departures. The ferry is free for passengers, and there is a fee for cars. Parking at the Svolvær ferry terminal is free for up to 24 hours, which makes it a convenient option. Once in Skrova, everything is within walking distance or you can rent a bike to explore the island at your own pace.

• Speedboat from Bodø: a great alternative if you are coming from the mainland. The journey takes around 3 hours from Bodø directly to Skrova.

Svolvær is easy to reach by Bus 300, which runs across Lofoten, and it also has an airport with frequent domestic flights.
