1973.
Someone opened the doors of this house in Bindal for the very first time. Put coffee on the table. Welcomed the first guest.
More than 50 years have passed since then.
And now it is us. Me (Olga), my husband Nico, our children, our cat, endless lists of things to fix, renovations, the kitchen, guests, invoices, hopes — and tired evenings when you look out at the fjord and think: “Why on earth did we start all this?”
And then a guest says thank you. For the food. For the warmth. For the feeling of being expected.
And you remember why.
We did not just buy an old hotel. We took over a story that other people had been writing long before us. Now we are trying to continue it in our own way — honestly, warmly, with care and with faith in this little place in the North.
Terråk does not keep us here because it is easy. It is not always easy.
Terråk keeps us here with its nature, silence, people, the fjord outside the window, and the feeling that it is still possible to build something real here.
The family running this house today wants to show Terråk to the world.
