Do you want to meet the Arctic nature? Take a walk along beaches where the waves can get you on a different frequency while you study bird life. Maybe you're lucky enough to make a discovery a lucky stone? Or maybe the many tracks in nature take you back to another time. Ekkerøy's story is powerful, and with magical elements. Ekkerøy holiday home is located in the middle of all this. We offer charming self-catering accommodation for up to 23 people in seven different apartments and houses. Everything close to the sea in the authentic fishing village Ekkerøy.

The snow and cold is approaching and that makes us appreciate the last period of autumn. The golden light in the morning and evening make these short walks magical!

A very windy hike to the tip of Ekkerøy today. The gusts were up to 19 m/s. Beautiful, wild and very windy. Remember to wear wool!

Samuli Haapasalo points to a signs of hope for the kittiwake population and their breeding grounds on the bird cliffs here on Ekkerøy. He has visited us many times and has followed the impact of climate change in our region for several years.
