Siddha Pokhari
Ta: Pukhu

There are 100 ponds in the Kathmandu Valley; 42 of these ponds are in Bhaktapur.

Siddha Pokhari is the oldest pond in Bhaktapur, potentially dating back to as early as the 3rd or 4th century, but more likely the early 15th century. (Historians have opposing views on just how old it is.)

This historical site is getting a little TLC. We’re excited to see it filled again soon!

A short walk from , this sacred space is a part of Bhaktapur’s incredible history.
