My First Trail Run at Timbung Pokhari, East Nepal, is out on YouTube.
Trail running basically is trekking + running 🏔️🏃♂️
Off-road, scenic, nature oriented runs. It’s a growing sport in Nepal, and turns out Nepal already has made the initial strides in this sport and has some world renowned trail athletes.
Trail running, if organized professionally, holds great potential for our tourism too. We already have some world class races like Mustang Trail Race, Manasalu trail race which draws athletes from across the world.
This was my first trail organized in Taplejung- the second largest district in Nepal & home to the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga. And, very casually, I was representing my district- Jhapa, as I was the only athlete participating from Jhapa haha!!
Timbung Pokhari is also a great short trek destination and in case you plan to go, you can trust Trek 8586, Amir Rai, Manoj Basnet for a professional, enjoyable experience.
