In the meantime, you will enjoy the hospitality and warmth of the Joshi family, taste the traditional, homemade Newari dishes, or climb up to the rooftop terrace and let your eyes feast on the intricate network of the rooftops and pagodas of Patan, or maybe even catch a glimpse of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks on a clear, sunny day.

Mount Everest is not simply a mountain. People all over the world recognize this mountain, and it was first summited in 1953 by Edmund Hillary, a New Zealander as part of the British Expedition, and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, a local Nepali who knew the terrain.
