Official Notice from Department of Immigration (DoI) regarding the amendments in the Restricted Area Trekking Permit Policy. Three key changes include the following:

1. Even an individual foreign tourists are allowed to apply and obtain the Restricted Area Trekking Permit through the registered trekking agencies.

2. A Trekking Guide is allowed to guide a group of maximum seven trekkers only.

3. Tourists can now apply for the permit digitally even from abroad using "Visa Application Submission ID".
