✨Travel Tip Tuesday✨
One of Pokhara’s most peaceful morning experiences…
This morning Kelly bhauju visited Matepani Gumba, where monks have continued their daily puja in a temporary prayer hall for the past 10 years after severe damage during the 2015 earthquakes. Construction is now almost finished, with morning prayers expected to move into the new Gumba in about a month.
Visitors are quietly welcome to observe morning prayers, chanting, horns, drums, and rituals.
Small offerings such as fruit, biscuits, juice boxes, or a modest cash donation are appreciated if you wish to contribute respectfully. 🙏
The surrounding forest trails are also a beautiful place for a peaceful morning walk alongside many local residents.
A unique and meaningful way to start the day in Pokhara.
