Sita and Prem Gaire's apartment house in Pokhara's Lakeside, Baidam, in Nepal, had been built just one year ago. Thus the rooms and apartments are fresh new and very clean. The whole house, apartments and rooms are Western standard, including hot showers, two bathrooms per apartment, view to the Himalayas and Phewa Lake. There is airconditioning (fan) in every room and all windows and doors have m

osquito nets. Windows are darkened and perfectly insulating in winter. The 2 smaller separate rooms have carpets, the two 3-roomed apartments have wood-imitation linoleum in the living room and kitchens, and carpets in the bedrooms. The two big apartments have also sofas with arm-chairs, TV-set (LCD), beds and other necessary furniture, all that you need in a flat (tables, chairs, wardrobes, boards etc). Both big apartments have fridges and gas cookers in their spacious kitchens, and water-filtering. The area is silent, and the apartment house is surrounded with a yard with pleasant greens,
and is protected by a dog. The apartment house is situated near the Baidam Shiva Mandir ("Hindu Temple" on Google maps), and you can get to it is from Burbar Marg leading from the main Lakeside Road, walking up to the Hindu Temple's small square. Opposite the Temple (a fenced garden with children's playground) is a small foot-path leading to Namaste Apartment. You can also approach it from Lalupate Road, which runs from the other side of the road opposite the Lakeside Center previously called White House. The Gaire family owes Namaste Bakery on the corner opposite the Lakeside Center, where you can ask them for more information and showing the way to their apartment house. Their breads are baked in a small bakery-manufacture in the yard of Namaste Apartment, so you can also enjoy fresh and warm sweet breads right away from the oven every morning.
