Loblaw creating 7,500 jobs:
Loblaw says it plans to create 7,500 jobs by improving and renovating 700 locations as well as building 40 new stores. The food and pharmacy retailer is spending more than $2 billion dollars on the expansion. The company says new stores will be opening across the country and the new jobs will include construction and in-store roles. Meanwhile, Loblaw has been under pressure from lawmakers to help ease food inflation. Along with Walmart, it refused to sign the federal government’s voluntary grocery code of conduct, which is aimed at reining in prices, arguing it could actually raise them for consumers.

Loblaw has 2,500 stores in Canada under the Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore and T&T banners.

आदरणीय माधब नेपालज्यु तथा सम्माननिय रास्ट्रपति ज्यु, प्रधानमन्त्री बन्नु भयो रास्ट्रपति बन्नु भयो । आफ्नै क्षेत्र तिनकुनेको ५० वर्षदेखिको समस्या आफैले हस्ताक्षर गरेर बारम्बार सम्झौता गरेर पनि समाधान गर्नु भएन । अब कुन मुख देखाएर जनता माझ भोट माग्न जानु हुन्छ ? अझै दुई महिना छ, सरकार तपाइँकै हो । समस्या समाधान होस् भन्ने आशा राखेको छु ।

सुरुमा बालेनलाई 'अन्डरस्टिमेट' गरेका पार्टीहरुले अहिले बालेनलाई हराउनका लागि अनेक खेल सुरु गरेका छन् । उनीहरुको तारो नै बालेन हो अहिले । यसका लागि केहि ग्रुपहरुलाई उचालिरहेका छन् । बालेनको चुनाव चिन्ह लौरो ३५ नम्बरमा पर्दैन भन्ने हल्ला फैलाइरहेका छन् । मेयरले मात्रै जिते बजेट नै पास गर्न सक्दैन भनिरहेका छन् । सामाजिक सदभाव नै बिगार्न पनि तयार भए जस्तो देखिन्छ ।

बालेनका प्रतिष्पर्धीहरुको बोली र गतिबिधिले पनि थाहा पाउन सकिन्छ, अहिले काठमाण्डौँमा जस्तो स्वतन्त्र उम्मेदवार यत्रो ठुलो माहौल बनाएको र त्यसले राष्ट्रिय प्रभाव पारेको पहिले कहिलै थिएन । बालेनका लागि सबैतिर माहौल मिलेको छ भने प्रतिष्पर्धीहरु कमजोर भएका छन् ।

म बालेनलाई मात्रै भोट दिनुस्, नत्र तपाई पनि काम नलाग्ने मान्छे हो भनेर भन्दिन । तर तपाई परिवर्तन चाहनुहुन्छ भने अहिले त्यो परिवर्तनको एकदमै ठुलो सम्भावना देखिएको छ । यो सुनौलो मौकालाई खेर जान नदिम् । यसले दलमग्न भएको हाम्रो समाजलाई सपार्न ठुलो भुमिका खेल्छ । दलहरुलाई पनि राम्रा उम्मेदवार उठाउन बाध्य बनाउँछ ।
