Onuku Farm Hostel has many different types of accomodation, we are sure at least one of them will suit you! The Vanpark for the backpacker vans, the tranquil camping area with its stargazers, dorm hut and tent sites, the Tonga Hut, for a little extra intimacy, and of course, the old cosy farmhouse (for more details and some pictures, look at our albums!). Wake up with birdsongs, enjoy your ever-ch

anging "living-picture" windows, start your walks in hills between sheep, enjoy the swimming beach, share our weekly "potluck", take lot of pictures of the wonderful landscapes, and finally, be amazed, every evening, by the fantastic colors of sunset over the mountains and Akaroa Harbour. We are right at the end of the road 6 kms from Akaroa -
near enough when you need it, far enough when you don't...

Closed for winter between may and september.

Brooke Morison 's photobook "Rainbow of Retrospection" is finally out! 164 pages filled with 35mm film photos taken here at Onuku Farm Hostel and other beautiful places on Banks Peninsula. 🚫 Temporarily closed! 🌈🏡🚐🏕️
This is the first time in about 40 years that we will be closed during the summer months and it definitely wasn't an easy decision to make.
We are already looking forward to seeing you again when we reopen!

It's a wrap! Another season has come to an end.
Thanks to everyone who has been here. Hope to see you (and everyone who couldn't come this year) all again next season!
