Artistic Tranquil Retreat Akaroa A unique opportunity to stay in an artists home set in a beautiful tranquil valley 3 minutes by car Complimentary tea & coffee is also provided.

I am a mixed media artist living in beautiful Takamatua Valley close to Akaroa. I am offering a large sunny room as a unique bed & breakfast retreat.There is a comfortable queen sized bed as well as daybed/divan, so it is suitable for 3. Quality 100% cotton sheeting, fresh towels, fresh garden flowers and a continental breakfast are included.The bathroom is shared as sorry there is no ensuite! My

property is very private with a lovely cottage garden and stunning hillside views. I would love to share this, as I know that others will get the same pleasure from my home as I have for the past 15 years. Being an artist I have retreated quite often into my "wonder world" and this would give me a great opportunity to experience people of "the world". I immensely enjoy meeting people and will be a very gracious host. When I am not painting, I am gardening, both of which fill me with joy. My other great pleasure is cooking so there will always be some home baking for you to enjoy. I also offer dinner by prior arrangement, at an additional cost~ so I can provide local produce and of course vegetables from my garden! Akaroa has to offer wonderful eateries and cafes, so there is plenty of choice. Your room has brochures etc as to activities in the village, so you will "be in the know" before you get there! My home lends itself well to anyone who is searching for a quiet retreat to paint or write. I also offer art workshops in both mixed media art and silk painting for those that are interested. If you have a small group of friends who may like to come over for a day or weekend have a chat with me and we can make a day or weekend of it! These workshops provide all the materials needed (you may wish to bring paintbrushes). I also provide a light lunch and refreshments. Costs by arrangement.
