Last week was superbly busy here at Mt Vernon Lodge, 300mm of rain closed the road for nearly 2 days, a conference, wedding (congrats M + A) and a fundraising concert to round it out.

The last 2 weeks have been a busy time with 4 lovely couples tying the knot here at Mt Vernon Lodge.
The weather has proven to be typical of the New Zealand summer with rainy days, bluebird days and even a heat wave, which our fantastic couples have all taken in their stride to still have the most amazing day. 🥰

"Best decision of our lives. We were married here last year in September. This venue captures the best that New Zealand has to offer, from the chorus of native birds to the stunning backdrop of the ocean. Complete with its special accommodation, the wedding lawn and reception area - everything is meticulously laid out and provided for. Thank you, David and Amanda, for your hospitality and the immense support you guys provided not only during our wedding but in the planning stages beforehand - we always speak of you two when we share our experience! We are unreservedly grateful to you both for allowing us to visit a couple of times to obtain measurements for our reception set up in the lead-up to our wedding day."
