Kia Ora all, just thought I’d share this. Akaroa Community Arts Council are holding a two day life drawing workshop in Akaroa. 30th and 31st July, from 10 am to 4pm with an hour for lunch at the Presbyterian church hall, 39 Rue Lavaud in Akaroa. $80 for two days, $50 for one day.

Kia Ora everyone, winter has come to us at Blythcliffe. The heaters are on, the breakfasts are warming and delicious - our heritage dining room is filled with our fabulous Akaroa smoked salmon omelettes each morning!

Kia Ora to all of our Blythcliffe friends. John and I are hoping that you are all well, and tucked up cosily in your bubbles. As the government hopefully allows us all to move into level 2 of the covid-19 restrictions next week, John and I have decided to re-open Blythcliffe to guests. There are super low rates available for our Stables at $265 and our Rose Room at $199, enabling us and our guests to be fully able to comply with all of the physical distancing and hygiene rules. Ahoy there! The Landing 2019 - our fantastic historical re-enactment of Akaroa’s rich Maori, whaling and French histories - this coming Saturday 12th October, Akaroa main beach. 8.30 am start - bring a beach chair and warm clothing, maybe a raincoat in case of heavy mist! We play rain or shine.

Thanking our wonderful professional players, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Michael Hurst, Nathan Bonner and The Wellington Sea Shanty Society for their super amazing collaboration, playing unplugged and being so supportive of our wonderful event in Akaroa.

We thank all of our sponsors wholeheartedly for their continued goodwill and support of this event in Akaroa - we really wouldn’t get there without you. Our community rocks.
