I'm supposed to be outside gardening but the weather turned, instead I'm tucked away in my little scullery cooking, something I love doing on a cool day. I don't think my lovely guests will mind sampling my new lemon curd butterfly cake recipe when they return later from their adventure

We said goodbye to an amazing couple who have just spent the last four nights with us in our Executive Suite this morning. The gentleman commented on how he loved the wallpaper and it's something I've been wanting to share. A while ago we started redecorating some of our rooms now that most of the outside is finished. This is one of the gorgeous papers chosen which definitely adds glamour to the room! Do you know anyone who would enjoy staying here being looked after? A few nights left before Christmas to escape the mad rush!

I was looking for a sunny spot to have my morning coffee, so I did something I never do sat outside on my garden seat. The view looking back was stunning with the fresh new growth and beautiful sunshine. And then the other love of my life past through lol! This little machine mows our lawn 24 hours a day, rain, hail or sunshine! Best investment ever! One of our guests has name it Maurice 😂

Spring is a busy time in so many ways but is always my favorite time of year. At the Homestead our doors are open again and so far we have been privileged to host a two day conference and other delightful new friends in the b n b! As always food is a big part of the experience wether it's scones for guests sitting by the open fire when the weather turns or a full on buffet featuring a combination of my productions and other locally source catering.
