This is just up the road from us. The Northern Club nearly new and before being cloaked in Boston Creeper.
While I'm beavering away, looking for images for a project -- I found this: a Daniel Louis Mundy photo from 1867-1869 showing Auckland Central, from the Albert Barracks ground. That's the Northern Club at the right, and you can see the steeple of the original St Pauls just to its left, at the end of Princes Street. This is before the Improvement Commissioners got stuck in with altering the barracks ground which became Albert Park, so in the foreground is Victoria Quadrant which became part of Kitchener Street. Bowen Avenue does not exist. At left, heading into the distance is Bank Street (now Bankside), facing Chancery Street, with Shortland Sreet further back.
