Heart of Avondale Hostel Compass Accommodation Rooms are available for short or extended stay. The rooms range from small single rooms to large double sized rooms.

Situated in the heart of Avondale, where the Sunday markets, horse-racing track, movie theatres and a commercial district join together, Compass Accommodation offers excellent facilities and clean, secure accommodation rooms. Separate women and men bathrooms and alcohol/drug free living with a custodian / manager on-site. The accommodation provides a huge shared kitchen area and an outside smoking

area. Unlimited free internet and rooms are all furnished. Trains and buses are available at the front and back door for 15 - 20 minutes of travel into the centre of Auckland and all universities, colleges and institutes of technology.

Riversdale Lodge is clean, safe and secure environment close to public transport bus/train/laundromats and new Lynn shopping mall. I have been residing at the lodge for a few years and happy to follow the rules of the lodge. Thank you.

Lockdown Still on in Auckland – Stay Safe - Move in after we go to Level 2 or 3

Sorry we are still in Lockdown Level 4 in Auckland due to Covid 19 and Delta virus. We cannot show rooms to people. Well, only two empty anyway. Everyone is safe and happy at the lodge at present and the streets of Auckland are mostly free due to this lockdown. Beset to get a Covid test and the Covid vaccinations too. Happy resting up.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Good news for people wanting one of our great rooms. We have on-site security and on-site cleaner for the common areas. Large clean rooms. Our hostel is as quiet as a library.
