Annual Lake Lowering-

The annual lake lowering will occur on the weekend of Saturday 15th August.
The boat ramp will be unavailable whilst the water levels are low and we are carrying out maintenance work.
Please note other clubs/organisations will also be carrying out maintenance work in their respective spaces.

Morning Everyone

We have had to close the Hydo dam road today from 9:00am - 3:00pm. The closure was unplanned, but hopefully it will be opened earlier than expected.

We also have a road closure planned to replace the mesh wire fence, on:

Friday 24th July from 9:00am – 3:00pm

Update from Mercury:

Afternoon Everyone

A few weeks ago we had an incident involving a truck crossing over the Karapiro dam. As a result of that, there was quite a bit of damage done to parts of our infrastructure, which now needs to be repaired. We will be closing the road, as per below:

Tuesday 14th July - Friday 17th July
From 9:00am - 3:00pm daily

Sorry for any inconvenience, There will be no pedestrian access over the dam while work is underway.

If there are any changes to the dates above, we will let you know.

Karapiro Dam Road Closure - update from Mercury
Mercury will be removing the remainder of the w**d that has built up from the last closure.
The road across the Dam will be closed on Wednesday 8th July from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

LAKE CLOSURES & EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

North Island Schools Cycling Championships
Saturday 4th July - Sunday 5th July

No Lake Closure

To support the safety of the event, the riders, residents and other road users, there will be some restrictions and change of traffic flow on Maungatautari Road (between Gate 1 and Gate 3 of the Mighty River Domain Reserve) this Saturday and Sunday (4th July and 5th July) while the event takes place.

Key notes include:
• Allow extra time if you are travelling around the venue.
• Take extra care and look out for cyclists.
• Gate 2 will be closed from 8am on Friday through to 4pm Sunday.
• On Saturday, all south bound traffic is diverted through the domain.
• On Sunday, all internal domain roads are closed to the public with a stop/go operating on Maungatautari road.
• The event itself starts at 8am and will finish approx. 4pm each day.
• Residents should have received a letter in their letterbox with more information around accessing and leaving their properties.
• The finish line for both days is located outside Gate 2 on both days.
• The boat ramp is unavailable to access on both days.
