Can you believe its OCTOBER already!

So this month we have school holidays, Labour weekend, the Hurunui Garden Festival, the Amberley A and P show so dont delay and get your accommodation booked.

With 4 gorgeous rooms we still have some availability and remember to book direct and save - especially for those 2 or 3 night stays. We can also cater for you dinners as well so let me know if you want to see the menu. There is still a chill in the air so I think I will be running with the Winter menu for October but watch this space.

Here is a look behind the scenes in the owners wing of the house. Also known as the engine room. You may have seen a glimpse of the kitchen but there is also two bedrooms with an interconnecting ensuite, an office (3rd bedroom), laundry and over sized garage plus plenty of space for the vege garden and the dogs to run around.

Spring has sprung and its worth making a trip to Cheviot just to see the gorgeous daffodils in the Cheviot Hills Reserve; they are stunning.

Why not book in for a night or two and explore the area, take advantage of the clear nights (fingers crossed) and do some star gazing and keep warm in the spa pool.

Thinking about an Escape from the city to the country in September? now is the best time to book! Which room will you choose?

The deluxe room 'Rata" with a tinge of red decor; our largest and best room with stunning views looking towards the Kaikoura mountains.

Our superior rooms 'Koromiko' (with a tinge of purple) and 'Harakeke' (with a tinge of orange) also offer stunning views looking towards the mountains and are also a very good size.

The standard room 'Kowhai' has a touch of yellow and gold. It is our fully accessible room and a very good size. Whilst you might capture a glimpse of the mountains it has a great garden view and gets the early morning sun.
