But great to Reflect on the journey of building fantail lodge it was incredible!
Every time I unlock the door and walk inside, I still think "wow". 🥰 The beauty and strength of the logs never tires.

We have taken a heap of trees out from in front of the cabin making way for a lovely lawn, sunshine filtering through 🌲🌲🌲 and another landscaping project ahead.

One question I often get asked is, "How did I get into building log homes and construction?" Well, let me take you back to my teenage years. At the age of 16, a friend and I embarked on a little adventure. We decided to build a humble, horizontal log walled shelter in a plantation near our holiday spot. We used flax to tie the logs together at the corners, and it was just big enough for us to sleep in.

Little did I know, that simple project ignited a passion. It was the spark that set me on a path towards building and crafting log homes. Now, before you worry, rest assured that our log homes today don't rely on flax tying. We've come a long way since those early days!

That humble shelter marked the beginning of an incredible journey. It awakened my love for the artistry and craftsmanship of log homes, and I've dedicated myself to honing my skills ever since. I'm grateful for that formative experience and the inspiration it provided.

So, the next time you see one of our beautifully crafted log homes, remember that it all started with that little shelter tied together with flax. It's a testament to how a simple passion can grow and evolve into something truly remarkable.
