Many of you know that I’ve been quietly nurturing the intention of offering a Pocket Farm retreat, focused on rest, mindful reset and personal growth.
As so often happens when caught up in the flow of something that is supposed to happen in life; the universe appears to be on my side, providing me wonderfully unexpected opportunities to share my concept with others both at home and away.
Two weekends ago I was invited at very short notice to lead a retreat weekend near Queenstown; and thanks to some very special people stepping in to care for the Pocket Farm household, I was able to swiftly pack up my yoga props, gather all the tasty morsels that make the pocket farm breakfast and supper trays so special, stow Chesters bowl and set off on what turned out to be a truly memorable weekend of yoga, adventure, nurturing and growth.
Across the two days we practiced gentle vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, sleep promoting yoga… and as a treat for our host: ‘puppy yoga’, which was a first for Chester and me.
While I’m not sure ‘puppy yoga’ will become a regular Pocket Farm offering, I can promise walks and play in nature, gratitude & mindfulness practice, future planning, enjoying local hospitality and lots of rest, relaxation and time for reflection and self care, most certainly will be.
If you’d like to register interest in experiencing a Pocket Farm retreat or having me lead one at another venue on your behalf please DM me.
