Garden City Motel Garden City Motel offers large spacious units catering for 1-6 people and is fondly known as a 'home away from home.' Great for families and sports teams.

Our handily located motel is 10-15 minutes from the central City and ChCh Airport ✈️ Garden City Motel offers clean, spacious and quiet units and is fondly known to many as their "home away from home", with excellent customer service being our specialty. Our centrally located motel caters for all types of guests, including professionals, couples, families and sports teams. Boasting generous size units, we have a Queen Studio (sleeps 1 - 2), a King Studio (sleeps 1 - 2), Super King Studios (sleeps 1 - 6) and 1 and 2 bedroom units (sleeps 1 - 5). We also have 2 wheelchair access units. All units are self contained and most have generous kitchens, with fridge/freezers, ovens and microwaves. The units have their own heatpumps/air conditioning and there is free WiFi, Sky TV and off street parking. All of our units are smoke free.The Garden City Motel is located 10 minutes from Christchurch Airport and approximately 5 minutes from Northwood Super Centre and Northlands Mall, the latter hosting Graham Condon Recreational Sports Centre and Pools and Hoyts Movie Theatres. Daniels Road Shops - local dairy, pharmacy, Coasters Tavern & Bar a five minute walk away. Papanui has lots of wonderful takeaway restaurants if you don’t feel like cooking. We are close to St Bedes College (2 min walk) Our location makes us an ideal choice for those wanting easy and close access to Burwood Hospital & St Georges Hospital, Bottle Lake Forest, Willowbank, Orana Park and the Antarctic Centre. There are also nine golf courses within a 5 km radius. With the city close at hand - 15 min you can enjoy 3 hour free parking in Hagley Park and a stroll through the Botanical gardens. Enjoy a coffee at the Antigua Boat Shed Cafe or the inner city’s new Riverside Market and nearby shops. Having returned home to Christchurch we are more than happy to offer recommendations for your stay, based on your preferences. The wait is over — the full 7-stage course for the inaugural Ōtautahi Enduro has been released! 🤘

From fast, technical sections to big descents and everything in between, the course is set to deliver a seriously challenging weekend on the Port Hills.

⚠️ IMPORTANT COURSE ACCESS INFO

Adventure Time, DH and the E-Bike Stage are strictly OFF LIMITS until the official practice day.

These stages are not available to ride before official practice. Anyone caught riding these trails before the designated practice session will have their pass suspended and will be disqualified from the race.

So, play fair, respect the course restrictions and save those stages for practice day! 👊

A heads-up to our fellow Cantabrians ✈️

As long as the weather allows, we’ll be carrying out essential maintenance on our main runway from Tuesday 29 September to Friday 9 October, between 7:30pm and 5:30am.

While the work is underway, some flights may use our East-West runway instead. That means you might notice aircraft flying over the city overnight, even when there isn’t a nor-west wind.

We are thankful for your understanding while we get this important work done.
