While it feels very much like winter now, our daffodils are starting to bloom! This is the perfect time of the year to enjoy hundreds of lovely daffodils at our homestead. Every year we open our walnut paddocks Grassmere Walnuts to the public to forage for the thousands of walnuts that fall off our 52 trees every year. If you enjoy walnuts - one of the most nutritional nuts, then pop on over for a lovely stroll under 130 year old trees......

The walnuts are falling.... 🌳🌳and that means it's time for foraging! 😁 We will be open for our first foraging this weekend on Saturday 10am-12pm. Depending on how many walnuts get collected we will open again on Sunday or wait until the following weekend.
There has been plenty of sun to ripen walnuts and with this wind and rain later in the week more will be on the ground. We have already been foraging ourselves and there are plenty of yummy nuts!! Look forward to seeing you again on Sat!! Walnuts

And our gorgeous, historic, charming homestead is ready for guests! 🙌 We are so excited to share this lovely homestead with others. It has been lived in for 5 generations of the Hocken family and has now been carefully and lovingly renovated and decorated with character, history and comfort in mind.
