Every plant on this land started as a decision. Which species. Which slope. Which season.

The landscape you see today wasn’t created all at once. It has been shaped over time through careful observation, thoughtful planting and a growing understanding of the land itself.

Small decisions, made year after year, slowly becoming something larger.

This is what five years of learning the land looks like.

Over the last week, fifteen people planted 15,000 natives across three hectares of steep country retired from grazing. Kānuka, māhoe, ake ake, kāramu — species chosen for the soil, the slope and the aspect.

Walk our tracks and you’ll walk through time — from fresh plantings just taking root to thriving native bush already transforming the hillsides.

The future forest starts here. 🌱
