The ARC 24hour adventure race for teams of 4 people or the ARC 12 hour adventure race designed for teams of 2 or 4 people. Disciplines include sea kayaking, mountain biking, trekking, navigation and regaining, rifle shooting, mine exploration, rope work and special mystery activities.

A 72km mountain bike ride starting in Colville, taking in the best of Coromandel's scenery (not that you have time to take it in!), before returning to Colville. Top riders take 3.5 hours. Average riders take 5 – 6 hours and casual riders 6 – 7 hours.

The Pohutukawa Festival starts on the Coromandel Peninsula on the 19th of November. One event that is happening locally is the Pohutukawa Fun for Families@ Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat - there will be live music, activities for kids, a talent show, face painting, clay modeling with food and drink available.
