Then vs. Now! 📸 Today marks 9 years with the McFarlane family at the helm! This week we were reconnected with the original family who built the homestead here back in the early 1930s.

It’s really special to trace the journey from simple farmland into a vibrant holiday park filled with happy campers and great memories with the homestead still here.

A huge thank you to our team for all their hard work and to our amazing guests for continuing to support us.

Here’s to 9 great years, exciting future plans, and hitting double digits next year! 🥂⛺✨

They might need a bigger trophy cabinet after this one... 🏆🏆🏆
What a night for Coromandel Shelly Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park!

They came away from our 2026 TOP 10 Awards with:
🏆 Top Guest Experience – Medium Park
🏆 Most Improved Most Highly Recommended
🏆 Parks’ Choice
🥈 Supreme Award Runner-Up
Not bad for one evening! 👏

For this family-owned and operated Park, it’s recognition of years of continually adding to the guest experience – from new accommodation and their pool to the coffee cart, family events and all those little extras in between.

💬 “We make sure our guests and their families are at the heart of every decision we make. To have that recognised with the Top Guest Experience – Medium Park award is incredibly rewarding.”

And with families returning year after year to become part of the Shelly Beach family, it’s easy to see why.
A massive congratulations to the whole team! 💛💙

School holidays are in full swing! Lachlan and Annabel are finally old enough to help out with the laundry folding, smoothie making, and counting the laundry money. At this rate, they’ll be making beds and scrubbing toilets by summer! 🚽🛏️😂

School Holidays are here and so is the Coromandel sunshine! 🥳

After the clocks jumped forward an hour, we now have more time in the evenings for campfires, toasted marshmallow, and beachfront dinners. The perfect way to wrap up a day of adventures.

Huge news from the 2026 TOP 10 Park Awards! 🎉

Aaron just got back from a fantastic few days in Auckland connecting with our extended TOP 10 family. As we approach 9 years of owning the park, we couldn’t be prouder to come home with a few extra pieces for the trophy cabinet - and somehow, extra room in the luggage to fit them all! 🧳🏆

🏆 Our 2026 TOP 10 Park Awards & Finalists:
• Winner: Top Guest Experience - Medium Park
• Winner: Employer of Choice
• Winner: Parks’ Choice
• Winner: Most Improved Most Highly Recommended
• Runner Up: Supreme Award
• Finalist: Sustainability Excellence
• Finalist: Most Improved Guest Experience
• Finalist: Most Improved Club Membership Seller - Medium Park

(We promise we didn’t bribe anyone, but we might treat the team to a very well-deserved tea break!) ☕🍰

These recognitions are a true testament to our hardworking team and the incredible guests who make Coromandel Shelly Beach TOP 10 so special.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 9 years - we couldn’t have done it without you! 🥂✨
